Kayla Anderson

Kayla was introduced to yoga in 2008 in a body movement class. During that time, she used yoga in the context of clearing the mind and preparing the body for rehearsal or performance as a stage actor and director. As she began to deepen her yoga practice, she noticed the positive changes in her day-to-day life and overall perspective. Yoga has allowed for her to become more clear, strong, and focused; acting as an outlet to experience and work through what is not serving her in a healthy and productive way. It is her intention to share yoga’s power to release tension in a way that is both a mindful and holistic approach to working with the body, breath, mind, and spirit.

As poet Robert Frost said, “The only way out is through.”

In Kayla’s classes, you can expect to move with your breath, connect with the stability and integrity of your body, establish and strengthen your center, and release physical, mental and emotional tension.

She is deeply grateful for her teachers Daren Friesen, Marcelyn Cole, Alie McManus, Gabriel Halpern, and Kim Wilcox for expanding her horizons, challenging and nurturing her, and creating space for healing and discovery. She also fortunate to study with master teachers Leann Carey, Tias Little, Aadil Palkhivala, Seane Corn, Saul David Raye, and Nicholai Bachman on a yearly basis. She received her CYT from Moksha Yoga Center in 2013.
