Making Sweet Honey
Lucy Wyer
Like a bee, seek nectar everywhere.
Fall deep into the alchemy of flower and sunlight,
where pollen and procreation unite.
Enticed by each flower’s essence,
be curious—what’s in there, magic or mayhem?
Go ahead, dive in anyway,
fall drunk on the nectar.
Your life will become juicy.
Like a flower, become your own unique expression.
Give more nectar than you can possibly give,
then give some more.
Make offerings everywhere you go,
enjoying the fruits of your allurement.
The bee takes great pleasure in gathering pollen.
The flower yields with exquisite delight.
The sun blazing equally on them both.
Bee humming happily making sweet honey,
flower in delicate repose,
each euphoric in this whirling romance.
Like bee and flower,
wander free among the meadow,
in a dance of divine rhythm and love.
Intoxicated with nectar, go wherever you please,
making sweet honey.
So free every act of expression is rebellion.
What then will be born of your inner sunlight?
