Learn about common concerns that many new moms share and how to support with the therapeutic application of yoga postures, targeted strengthening and guided relaxation. This training will include presentations from Becky Liston, yoga teacher and Physical Therapist at NorthShore University HealthSystemÕs Evanston Rehab Center on common concerns and physiology of postpartum women. Terri Drews, LCSW and co-founder of Beyond the Baby Blues postpartum depression support group in Evanston will also present about common psychological and emotional changes and how to support a new mother. There will be some education on how to incorporate baby yoga and infant massage into postnatal classes. Also included will be strategies for successful marketing and community outreach.
