The most psychologically correct holiday of the year is upon us, Thanksgiving! Accordingly, the focus of November’s restorative class is gratitude. Lisa Sandquist likes practicing gratitude because it engages her heart and mind, and because it brings her back to the present moment. What’s the connection between gratitude and restorative yoga? Recent studies suggest that practicing gratitude on a regular basis can help you get a better nights’ sleep, is shown to strengthen our resiliency in the face of everyday stress, and positively influences our immune system. Restorative yoga, in which the body is fully supported by props, also promotes deep relaxation and helps improve digestion. Lisa encourages you to come for this afternoon of relaxation. Self-care this time of year is more important than ever! No previous experience required; this workshop is appropriate for all levels. Space is limited and pre-registration is recommended. Workshop cost: $35, or save $5 if registered 3 days in advance.
