September Vedic Astrology Forecast ~ Pamela McDonough
September 1-2: Shortly after midnight the Moon dives into the depths of Scorpio. There is a harmonious and buoyant influence from Jupiter that will help us connect more deeply, and tune into the wisdom of our emotional state.
September 4: Once the Moon leaves Scorpio, the warrior planet Mars moves into his own sign of Scorpio for the first time in over two years. Scorpio is the sign of transformation and all things that are hidden beneath the surface. Literally and figuratively speaking. For the two month period that fiery Mars is in Scorpio there is the possibility for hidden aggression. A great time to contemplate and uncover any potentially underlying hostilities lurking in our subconscious minds.
September 5-6: The Moon is cruising through business minded Capricorn and the wisdom guide Jupiter is opposite in homey, heartfelt, Cancer. The perfect time to contemplate how we are balancing our spiritual and career paths. What feeds us emotionally and what supports us financially in the world that we live in.
September 8: This is the third in a series of “Super” Moons.
Not only is this a Super Moon it is also a Harvest Moon. The Full Moon (Shukla Poornima)is at 8:37pm (CDT) on Monday, on the day of Chandra.
This full Aquarius Moon has a very harmonious connection with its sign ruler, Saturn, from Libra. Society, democracy and human values related to business and trade (such as forced labor or illegal child labor in factories in developing countries ) may be at the forefront of what society is concerned with and communicating to through social movements.
This full Moon occurs in the Nakshatra (Lunar mansion) of Purva Bhadrapada and gives Yajamana Udyamana Shakti – The power to raise a spiritual person up in life. This bright Super Moon can shed light on our spiritual path and empower us to connect deeply with our own, and the spiritual collective at large.
Set your intentions now for this powerful Super Harvest Moon!
September 10: The Moon moves into the watery sign of Pisces along with spiritual and detached Ketu. At the same time Moon will be influenced by the earthy, service oriented Mercury in Virgo. Equilibrium between our rational thinking part of our mind and our emotions are the key for this day.
September 13: Moon in fiery Aries faces off with Saturn in airy Libra. Saturn as the karmic taskmaster connects with the Moon as our mind and emotions. This is not a light influence – a great day for reflection on the karmas that we have experienced.
September 16: Mercury and Rahu conjunct in the same sign. Be mindful doing business with strangers – protect your digital assets and credit cards during the time period of a week before and a few days after this influence.
September 19: Moon and Jupiter connect creating an optimistic, and expansive emotional state.
September 20: Mercury the business man moves into the social sign of Libra. Business dinners and social settings can be very productive during this transit until Mercury starts to slow down at the end of the month for the retrograde phase in early October.
September 22: 9:29 PM CDT marks the Fall Equinox. Devi is most active on the Autumn equinox. Durga is honored on this day. This is the time to work on our lower chakras Muladhara and Swadhisthana.
September 23: Moon and Venus have a tête-à-tête in Cancer. Be with someone or do something beautiful that connects to your heart!
September 24: Just after midnight we will experience the new Moon in Virgo. The day leading up to this new Moon may feel very introspective and for writers this will be an excellent time to reflect and write down what our are feeling.
September 29: The Moon joins Mars in the dark depths of Scorpio through midday Tuesday. This could be a very intense and emotional time period that starts deep within our subconscious.
These dates and transits explained are done so in order to help us maximize the positive influences, recognize and better manage the ever changing planetary energies. They are not intended to generate any panic or anxiety. In fact depending upon your own individual horoscope you may or may not feel these influences. Each transit may not influence every individual the same way. These should be just taken as a general guideline for the month. Those with a spiritual life may not even feel any of the negative impacts of some of these dates.
