On April 17, Chicago yogis gathered to celebrate the release of the Spring issue of ILLUMINE. Featured, were contributors Ryan Blume, Debi Buzil, Robin Swartzman, and Burger Bar.
Ryan Blume is a local artist whose art is yoga-inspired and a celebration of the human form.
Debi Buzil, Chicago’s kirtan goddess, shared her Liquid Gold Brazil Nut Milk, also known as B’Zil Nut Milk. ILLUMINE features her recipe, and she welcomes orders for the milk which she makes with love and mantra!
Robin Swartzman, a pastry chef on the North Shore and a dedicated yogini, shared her Chocolatey Chip Comfort Cookies. This recipe is also in our Spring issue.
Burger Bar offered sliders of their Powerhouse Veggie Burger, which the ILLUMINE team agreed was the best veggie burger in the city.
Other goodies were provided by Raw, Peeled, and Vita Coco.
Yogis took turns on stage singing karaoke! Big shout our to Adeoye and Margo Kellison who won the battle of the bands with their rendition of Last Dance.
