In our Timeline of Yoga in Chicago, we inadvertently omitted longtime community staple, North Shore Yoga.
There are so many wonderful studios that make up our vibrant yoga community in Chicago, but unfortunately space constraints limited our timeline to two pages in our fall issue. For that reason, we are spotlighting other important staples of the yoga community on our Facebook page and website with our STUDIO-YOU-SHOULD-KNOW feature.
STUDIO: North Shore Yoga

HISTORY:
- 1998—Originally incorporated as So Fun to Do, a studio located in Wilmette at the current location of Yogaview Wilmette.
- 2002—Changed the name to North Shore Yoga & Fitness.
- 2006—Moved to Northfield, after which they narrowed focus to yoga and changed name to North Shore Yoga.
- 2009—Opened Evanston location.
- 2013—Opened Bannockburn location.
What is your favorite memory from running your yoga studio?

How many classes on your original schedule each week? About five.
How many classes do you offer per week now? Total of 75 a week across all locations.
