Planning already underway for next year’s event

The Sheraton Northbrook was transformed into a holiday Zen center Saturday, Dec. 7 as members of the community attended YogaFest 2013.
For a $25 attendance fee, YogaFest featured five 50-minute yoga workshops showcased by some of the area’s top teachers, local merchants and live music. The proceeds benefitted the North Suburban YMCA’s Mind/Body Programs who recently announced that starting in January 2014, all of its yoga classes will be free for members.
Exclusive area merchants were also on hand promoting their unique mind-body holiday gifts including Debbie’s Designs, Inc, Ross’s Boutique, Arbonne, Daisy Fitness Wear, Rebecca Kaghan with Kinesiology Stability Yoga, Chiro One Wellness Centers, Doterra Essential Oil, Full Bloom Lotus and Simply Wicked Art. Louie Zagoras provided live music as he sang and played guitar.
“We are so pleased with the turnout at the event and the response from the participants,” commented Jill Narens, Event Coordinator. “We’re already planning the YogaFest 2014! We made so many wonderful connections, relationships and friendships in addition to a fantastic yoga experience.”
