I invite you to consider attending the upcoming workshop with Lorin Roche, who translated the Radiant Sutras, hosted by Mitchell and Tracy Bleier as part of their Advanced Teacher Training March 13-15.
Who’s Lorin Roche?
I’ve been studying, pondering really, the Radiant Sutras off and on for over 10 years now. My teacher Shiva Rea used them in her Prana Flow Teacher Training program back before they were published. She’s a long time friend and student of Lorin and he shared his translation of the Radiant Sutras while they were still a work in progress. She saw the wisdom and power of these sutras for living the essence of yoga and prana flow and wanted to share them with her students. Since they have been published, they have really caught the attention of yoga practitioners and philosophers for their poetic and powerfully meaningful impact.
At the time I first encountered the Radiant Sutras in Shiva’s training program, which I assisted for many years, I remember that my life felt like a big question: What was I to do? Was teaching yoga, as much as I loved it, a viable career path? Would I ever find my soulmate? How do I heal a past relationship?
I devoured books looking for answers, or at least techniques and methods that could lead to me figuring things out! The Radiant Sutras were like a love letter from above that helped me to live into the questions.
They didn’t give me so much answers as they enabled me to live into the questions boldly and in a way that led to deep peace and steadfastness to reach my true potential, rather than staying within the lines of life that most people in my life were living.
To be with a luminous teacher is a rare and precious experience, and I hope you will take this opportunity to experience Lorin Roche!
Here’s a little taste
The way of experience begins with a breath,
Such as the breath you are breathing now.
Awakening into luminous reality
May dawn in the momentary throb
Between any two breaths.
Exhaling, breath is released and flows out.
There is a pulse as it turns to flow in.
In that turn, you are empty.
Enter that emptiness as the source of all life.
Inhaling, breath flows in, filling, nourishing.
Just as it turns to flow out,
There is a flash of pure joy—
Life is renewed.
Like modern translations of Rumi and Hafiz, The Radiant Sutras are mystical and potent. As Shiva writes in the forward:
Be prepared, for you will not be the same person you were before you began reading. One of these sutras is enough to change a life.
I couldn’t agree more.
